Fear of the Lord!

Good morning, I am here today to write about the fear of the Lord. This topic may be difficult for some to talk about, but it is an incredibly important topic.

The fear of the Lord refers to a deep reverence, respect and awe for God. In today’s society, we often take for granted the blessings that God has given us and do not always show Him the reverence He deserves. The Bible speaks of the importance of fearing God over and over again. Proverbs 3:7-8 says “Fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your body, and refreshment to your bones.”

Fear of the Lord can help bring us closer to Him. It can bring us humility and teach us to rely on Him during difficult times. The fear of the Lord can also lead us to understanding our need for repentance. It can lead us to cling to God’s promises and help us resist temptation. It can also lead us deeper into His Word and help us understand His character more.

The biblical concept of the fear of the Lord does not refer to a feeling of terror or dread. Instead, it is more about reverence and respect for what God has done in our lives. We should respect His power and His love, and strive to live in a way that pleases Him.

When we fear God, it helps us remain obedient to His commandments, which in turn brings us closer to Him. We are able to see Him as our King and Savior, while still remaining humble and obedient. That is why it is so important to fear God and not just give Him lip service. We must be committed in our hearts.

We should show our fear of the Lord through our actions. This could include praying regularly, reading Scripture, and serving others in the name of God. It could also include regularly attending church and getting involved in ministries that are centered around God’s word.

The fear of the Lord is essential for a healthy relationship with our Creator. It is not a feeling of terror, but rather a deep respect and reverence for who He is and all that He has done for us. I encourage you to work on developing a deeper respect for God and His Word so that you can have a more meaningful relationship with Him.
