Christians often say God is good. But how often do we truly reflect on the goodness of God. The Bible states ”“God is good, and all of His works are good” (Psalm 119:68). All works of God being good is an awesome truth.
We can look to God’s Creation, as just one example of His goodness. We see the sun shining, birds in the sky and a beautiful world that we get to explore. When we look around, we can feel the joy of God’s presence everywhere.
God’s goodness also manifests itself in our lives when we need it most. Times of difficulty can be difficult to bear, but God can meet us in the midst of these moments if we turn to him. In his unwavering love, he promises to never leave us and to always provide. He is a source of strength and comfort, even in challenging times.
Furthermore, God’s goodness is shown in His grace. Our sins can be washed away when we turn to Him for forgiveness. We are all human and make mistakes, but His grace covers us and gives us a new start. There is no greater gift than being granted unconditional grace in Christ.
Finally, God’s goodness leads us to live righteously and honor Him with our lives. We are presented with an opportunity to do what is right and seek God’s ways at all times. Knowing that His goodness is there to sustain us, we can reach out to Him any time and draw from His strength.
God’s goodness is truly remarkable; it has no limits and reaches all aspects of life—from the tangible realities of Creation to the spiritual comfort He offers. We have been blessed with His grace and love, and it is up to us to accept it and spread it further. May you be filled with the joy and peace that comes from recognizing God’s goodness in your life.
