Hebrews 11: Forsake The Temporary For The Promise

Hebrews 11 continues with the presentation of the heroes of faith. Verse 25 really placed things into perspective for me. This verse is about the decision of Moses to forsake the pleasures of sin and to suffer with his people for a future promise. This is the same attitude we must carry with us as Christians. The temptation of an easy life is all around us. Living a life of complete sacrifice for the cause of Christ can be extremely difficult. We have a flesh nature that wants to do our own will and not the will of God. We must resist this sin nature and live for Christ and place our hope in the promise.

God Bless
