Hebrews chapter 5 tells us the importance of growing in the faith. The writer of Hebrews warns that a failure to grow from simple truths of faith, which he refers to as spiritual milk for infants, to being able to handle solid foods, more complex aspects of faith is a sign of unrighteousness. A failure to grow from a spiritual infant to a spiritual mature person in Christ does take time but should be a top priority of all Christians. Reading the Bible daily, and praying daily are two fundamental ways to grow in the faith. As we read through scripture in one year we are establishing a spiritual discipline that will grow us. As we pray through what we read we grow our understanding even deeper. Let’s pray that we grow in our faith daily.
